“I think that this message grossly underestimates the complexity and difficulties of sharing of cost information.”
[Fortunately the 4C project has a tool that will help, the Cost of Curation tool (CCT) which can be found on the Curation Costs Exchange (CCEx - curationexchange.org)]
It has been suggested that it would be useful to share successes and failures as well as costs so a few questions here.
Is the ability to access peer group information sufficient incentive to encourage you (the digital preservation stakeholder) to share your own costs? If not, what would tip the balance here?
Would you be prepared to share your failures and the reasons for those failures with your peers?
